Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Apollodor Partners LLP ("Apollodor Partners", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and handles information when you use Career Compass.

1. About Career Compass

Career Compass is a career decision-support service provided by Apollodor Partners LLP. It helps users understand their work preferences and compare those preferences with the working demands described in job opportunities.

Career Compass is intended to support informed career decisions. It does not make employment decisions for you and does not determine whether you should or should not apply for a particular opportunity.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Career Compass, we may collect information including:

  • Your name and email address.
  • Your college or university.
  • Your programme or course.
  • Your graduation year.
  • Your account and authentication information.
  • Your responses to the Work Preference Assessment.
  • Your resulting Work Preference Profile.
  • Job descriptions that you paste or upload for analysis.
  • Company and role information associated with those job descriptions.
  • Your Career Compass job-analysis results and history.
  • Basic technical and usage information necessary to operate and secure the service.
  • Paid-plan, subscription, referral and payment-transaction information needed to provide and administer paid access.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information collected through Career Compass to:

  • Create and maintain your Career Compass account.
  • Authenticate and secure access to your account.
  • Create and maintain your Work Preference Profile.
  • Analyse job descriptions submitted by you.
  • Compare relevant job demands with your current Work Preference Profile.
  • Maintain your assessment and job-analysis history.
  • Manage complimentary and paid usage of the service, including plan activation, usage limits and subscription validity.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve Career Compass.
  • Respond to support, privacy and account-related requests.
  • Help prevent misuse, fraud or security incidents.
  • Meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

4. Work Preference Assessment

Career Compass uses your assessment responses to create a Work Preference Profile across different dimensions of work. The assessment is designed to describe work preferences, rather than measure intelligence, ability, professional competence or employability.

When you become eligible to retake the assessment and complete a new assessment, your new profile becomes your current Work Preference Profile for future analyses. Previous assessments may remain associated with historical results so that those results continue to reflect the profile that was used when they were created.

5. Job Descriptions and Analysis

If you paste or upload a job description, we process the information contained in that job description in order to understand the role and provide Career Compass analysis.

You should avoid including unnecessary personal, sensitive or confidential information in job descriptions or other material submitted to Career Compass.

Career Compass analyses only the information available to the service. A job description may not fully represent the actual responsibilities, culture, expectations or working conditions of an employer.

6. Use of AI and Service Providers

Career Compass may use third-party technology and service providers to operate parts of the service. This may include cloud infrastructure, authentication, database, artificial intelligence, document processing and payment services.

Where AI services are used to understand a job description, relevant information from the submitted job description may be processed by an AI service provider for that purpose. Career Compass uses the resulting structured information as part of its job-analysis process.

We may use providers such as Google Firebase for authentication, hosting, database and related infrastructure, and OpenAI for AI-assisted processing of job descriptions. Payments for paid Career Compass plans may be processed through Razorpay or another third-party payment processor. Payment transactions are also subject to the payment provider's own terms, privacy practices and security controls.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to operate Career Compass, process information, provide technical infrastructure, process payments, maintain security or comply with applicable law. This may include information reasonably required by our payment processor to complete, verify or support a transaction.

We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, legal process or a valid governmental request, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, security or integrity of Career Compass, Apollodor Partners, our users or others.

8. Data Storage and Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Career Compass, maintain account and analysis history, meet operational requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Different categories of information may be retained for different periods depending on their purpose and applicable requirements.

9. Account and Data Requests

You may contact us regarding your personal information, including requests relating to access, correction or deletion, subject to applicable law and any information we may need to retain for legitimate legal, security or operational purposes.

Requests can be sent to: programs@apollodorpartners.com

We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information handled through Career Compass. However, no internet-based service or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

11. Cookies and Technical Information

Career Compass and the services used to operate it may use cookies, local storage or similar technologies where necessary for authentication, security, functionality, preferences and service operation.

If additional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced in the future, this policy may be updated accordingly.

12. Third-Party Links

Career Compass may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. Their own privacy policies apply when you use their services.

13. Children's Privacy

Career Compass is intended for individuals using the service for education, career exploration or professional decision-making. Users should have the legal capacity to provide the information required to use the service or use it with any consent required under applicable law.

If you believe personal information has been provided by a child in circumstances where appropriate consent was required but not obtained, please contact us.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Career Compass evolves or as legal, regulatory or operational requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
